Quebec’s Ministère de l’Éducation approached Hannenorak with a mission: create collections of myths, legends, and stories from all Indigenous nations in Quebec. Thanks to the efforts of members of all nations, these books are now coming into the world. Our aim for the project was to create an accessible forum for the rich cultural heritage of the 11 Indigenous nations in Quebec.
 

Indigenous cultures, Indigenous teachings 

Éditions Hannenorak publishes Indigenous and non-Indigenous authors whose work expresses First Nations subjects and themes with sensitivity and open hearts. Through our books, we are doing our part to promote the culture, traditions, creation stories, and modern-day issues of Indigenous peoples, empowering us to express ourselves and our distinct identities
